Plagiarism screening
Editorial Policy
Plagiarism Screening
Faletehan Health Journal (FHJ) is committed to maintaining originality, academic integrity, and ethical publication standards in every submitted manuscript.
Screening Policy
All manuscripts submitted to FHJ are screened by the Editorial Board using iThenticate Plagiarism Checker before they proceed in the editorial workflow.
Key Screening Rules
Please review these points carefully before submitting your manuscript.
Screening Tool
FHJ uses iThenticate to evaluate text similarity in submitted manuscripts.
Maximum Similarity
The accepted similarity tolerance is 25%, excluding references and direct quotations where applicable.
Editorial Evaluation
Similarity percentage alone does not determine acceptability; the editorial team also examines the pattern and source of overlap.
Sequential Similarity
Manuscripts may still be rejected if long and sequential similarities are identified from a single source, even when the total percentage appears low.
Important Note
FHJ may reject manuscripts when substantial similarity is found in a sentence, paragraph, or consecutive passage taken from one source, even if the overall similarity percentage is below the maximum threshold.
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism, duplication, and inappropriate text reuse.
